Welcome to rag-pdf-qa! This application allows you to easily retrieve information from PDFs using advanced technologies. With a user-friendly interface, you can ask questions and get precise answers from your documents in no time.

🔧 System Requirements

Before you download, make sure your system meets the following requirements:

• Operating system: Windows, macOS, or Linux
• At least 4 GB of RAM
• 500 MB of free disk space
• Python 3.7 or higher installed

📂 How to Download & Install

1. Visit the Releases Page: Go to the releases page.

2. Choose the Correct Version: Look for the latest release at the top of the page. It will usually have the highest version number, like v1.0, v1.1, etc.

3. Download the Application: Click on the download link that matches your operating system. Choose the .exe file for Windows, the .dmg file for macOS, or the .tar.gz file for Linux.

4. Install the Software:
   • Windows: Double-click the downloaded .exe file and follow the prompts to install.
   • macOS: Open the downloaded .dmg file, drag the application to your Applications folder, and eject the disk image.
   • Linux: Extract the .tar.gz file and run the install script by executing ./install.sh in the terminal.

5. Verify Installation: After installation, locate the application on your computer and open it.

6. Start Using rag-pdf-qa: You can now upload your PDFs and start asking questions!

📖 User Guide

📤 Uploading a PDF

1. Open the application.
2. Click on the “Upload PDF” button.
3. Choose the document you want to use. The application supports multiple PDFs, so feel free to upload several at once.

❓ Asking Questions

1. Once the PDF is loaded, go to the question input field.
2. Type your question clearly.
3. Hit “Enter” or click the “Ask” button.
4. The app will analyze the text and provide answers based on the content of the PDF.

🔄 History Feature

You can view your previous questions and answers by clicking on the “History” tab. This allows you to easily reference past queries without needing to re-upload your PDF.

⚙️ Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues:

• Ensure your PDF is readable and not encrypted.
• Restart the application if it hangs or freezes.
• Make sure your internet connection is stable if the app requires online resources.
